We often talk about our Pioneer team as a family. We certainly spend a lot of time together. We care about each other, we look after one another, and sometimes we even squabble a little like family members. But as we look back on 2023, we know there are some times where work got in the way of spending time with your actual families or loved ones. Whether that happened while helping a member outside of your normal schedule, answering a call from a co-worker in another timezone, calling a source for a story after-hours or traveling for a conference or visit, we’ve all had times when work beckoned us away from our loved ones.

This is NOT a Jelly of the Month Club situation. This is independent of the bonuses hitting your next paycheck or any raises coming in January. It’s just a way for our cooperative to say an extra thank you to the hardworking folks that make this a special place to work.
