Calendars are an effective marketing tool to keep important utility messages front and center all year long. Ruralite and Currents magazines produce an annual calendar showcasing calendar pictures from readers across Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, and California (see contest details on Ruralite’s website). As many as 13 winning shots capturing the beauty of the West are selected.

Utility Pioneers can choose whether to use reader images, supply their own, or hold a local photo contest to bring the calendar to life. Add in important utility dates and messages, and you’ve got a new (and helpful!) way to deliver your message to consumers.

How it Works

1. Send us important utility dates for the year. Some utilities hold photo contests to source local pictures for the calendar, too.

2. We add custom utility content throughout the calendar.

3. Editors review each page

4. Pioneer prints and mails your calendar inside your magazine or as a separate item.
