I hope your 2024 is off to a good — if suddenly stressful — start.
News from the Federal Communications Commission that required notices on the potential end of the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) must go out by Jan. 25, has many of Pioneer’s members scrambling to meet this deadline.
As a cooperative created to help community-based service providers like you, we’re reaching out to share some free templates for the wind-down mandates. They are basic notices to meet the requirement that you can easily download and customize on your own. We created this campaign to be widely used. You’ll notice most of the pdfs are editable. That means there is an empty text box, where you can add your website, phone number or other contact information to the piece.
Here’s what you can expect in our template package:
- Social media graphic (940×788) along with a post caption.
- Bill message wording that is adaptable for text messages.
- Graphic/ad formatted at 5×5 for use in newspapers or monthly magazines.
- Single-sided, 8.5×11 flyer for customization and printing.
- Copy/paste text for your website, e-newsletter and other communications.
- A sample letter for legislators that your subscribers can send to Congress to advocate for the reinstatement of the program.

These FCC-mandated notices should be distributed via email, text messages or paper mail to the email, phone number or mailing address where consumers receive their monthly bills or communications. It’s essential that the notices are accessible to consumers with disabilities and are sent in their preferred language. More than 20 million people are enrolled in the ACP.
For further details on ACP wind-down deadlines, you can refer to this document or visit the designated section on the FCC website.
Should you like us to customize your notices beyond the provided templates, please reach out to your account manager, another Pioneer staff member or email hello@pioneer.coop no later than Monday, Jan. 22, at 5 p.m. ET so we can discuss options and deadlines.
We appreciate your prompt attention to this matter. More than 20 million people are enrolled in the program; it’s an important story to tell. We look forward to supporting you through this process.
