Wendy Jones, CCC

Wendy Jones serves as the Director of Public Relations and Communications for Jackson EMC, one of the nation’s largest electric cooperatives. With more than 440 employees and over 265,000 meters to serve, Wendy leads a talented team responsible for internal communications, external messaging, and community outreach. She thrives on connecting people, sharing stories, and creating meaningful impact.

Wendy made the move to the utility industry four years ago, following a 25-year career in higher education marketing and communications. Her background includes leading strategic initiatives, building strong media relationships, and orchestrating details of large-scale events. While she loves tackling complex projects (and never says no to a good spreadsheet), Wendy is most energized by building meaningful connections and fostering collaboration.
Outside the office, she enjoys planning events and spending time with her husband and their almost-grown daughters, who keep her on her toes.
