With a career spanning four decades, Suki Dardarian left a lasting impact on the news industry. Named Editor of the Year by the National Press Foundation in 2024, she led the Minnesota Star Tribune for 12 years. During her tenure, the Star Tribune won the 2021 Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News for its coverage of George Floyd’s death at the hands of Minneapolis police and the protests that followed. Before that she worked as a managing editor and director of audience development at The Seattle Times. She got her start working at local community newspapers in Washington State. She’s a past president and board member of the Associated Press Managing Editors Association.
