Will Gaines

Will Gaines joined the Pioneer team in 2017 after working in newspapers for five years. He began at Pioneer as a writer before quickly transitioning to the account manager team. Since becoming an account manager Will has helped manage monthly electric magazines and helped multiple electric cooperatives launch broadband services.

Before joining Pioneer, Will was the sports editor of the Fort Payne Times-Journal before returning to his hometown paper, The Anniston Star. Will graduated from Auburn University where he was the sports editor of the student newspaper, The Auburn Plainsman. He then interned with the Montgomery Advertiser.

He is married to Pioneer Photographer Melissa Gaines, and they have two Pomeranians, Copper and Rosalie. During his free time, he enjoys running, following Auburn sports and NASCAR.
