Rey Berrones

Rey Berrones is head of creative services at Peñasco Valley Telephone Cooperative (PVT), a member-owned fiber provider that has served Southeast New Mexico since 1949 and covers nearly 5,000 square miles of the state. He leads the cooperative’s creative and marketing work, which includes print and video production, customer communication, web, product launches and the campaign assets that bring PVT’s community events to life. He serves on the Fiber Broadband Association’s Marketing Committee and is the creative force behind Splice, PVT’s Desert Bighorn Sheep mascot. Rey will share how a small cooperative builds real loyalty the way big carriers can’t, through in-person moments and a mascot people actually want to meet. He shares how to have authentic, memorable brand-building in the community.
