Greg Mason

Greg Mason joined the Clearing Up team as a staff writer in 2022. His responsibilities include keeping a finger on the pulse of the region’s rollout of electric vehicles and related infrastructure as well as coverage of Portland General Electric, PacifiCorp, energy legislation out of the Oregon State Legislature and wildfires.

A transplant from Syracuse, N.Y., Greg has around a decade of experience in professional journalism, most recently at The Spokesman-Review in Spokane, Wash., prior to joining NewsData. Greg earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Le Moyne College. He lives in Spokane where he likes to take his dog to the park and root for the Mariners—as long as they’re not playing the Yankees.
