With over 16 years of experience in communications, Julie Boles leads strategic marketing and public relations efforts for East Mississippi Electric Power Association (EMEPA) as its director of marketing and communication. In this role, she oversees advertising, community engagement, media relations, and internal communications, ensuring EMEPA’s mission and services are effectively communicated to members and stakeholders.

Julie also serves as chief marketing officer for EMEPA’s broadband subsidiary, East Mississippi Connect. Since its launch in October 2020, she has played a pivotal role in branding and market positioning, helping East MS Connect grow into the premier broadband provider in east Mississippi, now serving over 16,000 subscribers.

A dedicated communications professional, Julie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Public Relations) from Mississippi State University and a Master of Science in Public Relations from the University of Southern Mississippi. She earned her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) from the Universal Accreditation Board in 2015 and achieved her Cooperative Communicator Certification through the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association in 2023.

Beyond her professional roles, Julie is deeply invested in economic development and community enrichment. She serves as an ambassador for the East Mississippi Business Development Corporation and is a lifetime member of the Junior Auxiliary of Meridian, where she has held leadership roles, including sponsorship chair and second vice president of projects.

Julie resides in Meridian, Mississippi with her husband, Daniel, and their two children, Bradley and Brookley.
