Sara Patterson

After freelance copy editing at Pioneer for six years, Sara joined as a full-time quality control editor in January 2023. During her newspaper career, she covered everything from the heated Lafourche Parish Homemakers’ annual cooking competition in Louisiana to the not-so-heated Falcons games in Atlanta, as one of the first female reporters in their press box.

In her off hours, Sara enjoys entertaining her household of pets, listening to New Orleans music, being outdoors and spending time with her husband and newly adult daughter — whenever she finds time to visit.
